Born and bred in LA, Claire's been steeped in the arts from a young age. She was classically trained in piano at five and started working as an actor by 13. Claire bought her first camera with her first paycheck as an actor and has had a camera in hand ever since. She went on to study and graduate from UCLA where she began to develop her eye as a photographer. Photography gave her the creative flexibility and freedom to find her point of view as an artist. Claire believes all of her creative work inspires the other which gives her the ability and space to create a breadth of work that is versatile, unique and genre-defying.
When she's not behind the lens, you can find Claire cooking up a storm with her "beloved" Kurt, watching movies, dreaming up new projects, climbing mountains, hitting up live shows, exploring new countries and soaking up the sun with her family on the beach in Carpinteria.
Connection and collaboration are at the heart of Claire’s work, and her process. She quickly endears herself to her subjects with a natural empathy and gregariousness, drawing out genuine moments of infectious emotion that give a jolt to the heart and reinvigorate the viewer’s lust for life.
